8U with 8 LaserBlades

LaserBlades are highly serviceable managed blade servers, offering unprecedented configuration flexibility. LaserBlades feature a range of processor options from Intel® Core™ 2 Duo to Quad Core Xeon®. These 8U LaserBlades feature full length PCI, PCI-X and PCIe adapter support, options for hot-plug drives and hardware management.

• Interchangeable
  Designed for low cost, high density computing, up to 8 blade servers can be configured per LaserBlade enclosure. LaserPoint is also available for a single LaserBlade.

• Managed
  LaserBlades are designed with multiple layers of CubixVision management that provide simple and secure navigation to Cubix blade resources, detailed hardware monitoring, and remote hardware control such as power up / down and hard reset function.

• Serviceable
  Front extracting LaserBlades feature easy-to-access front accessible connections. Two SATA hard drives are supported per blade PC. Hot pluggable drives configured for RAID are an option. Drives are mounted on trays that can be removed from the rear of the blade. For easier serviceability, to remove or add a drive, the blade and its front accessible cables can remain in place.

• Flexible
  Both Windows and Linux operating systems are supported.

  Open design
  The 8U LaserBlade supports high-end PCI Express 2.x x16 graphics adapters, 64-bit PCI-X adapters and full-length PCI adapters.

• OEM customized
  Factory support for identity branding, customized configurations, and solution level integration.

8U LaserBlade is available in two products:

• LB8X features an Intel dual Xeon quad core computer, up to 192GB RAM, SAS drives, two Gbps Ethernet ports and optional PCIe adapters such as iSCSI, fiber NICs, etc.  LB8X can also integrate PCIe extension for connection to LaserCube.
• LB8C features an Intel Core 2 Duo or Quad computer, up to 8GB RAM, SATA drive, and two Gbps Ethernet ports.  LB8C integrates PCIe extension for connection to LaserCube.
