LaserBlades are highly configurable, so they fit quite well into a variety of data center projects.

If rack density is a high priority, the 4U LaserBlade series allows you to place as many as 8 Quad Core Xeon and/or Core2 Duo blade servers in a 4U rack space – yielding a ½ U per blade server.

If I/O is a high priority, the 8U LaserBlade series supports full-length PCI, PCI-X and PCIe adapters. Using PCI adapters, applications can range from VoIP/ telephony to fax services and more. PCI-X configurations often entail Host Bus Adapters (HBAs) connecting to SAN storage. PCIe adapter configurations range from back end graphics rendering stations to any number of network server applications.

The 8U LaserBlade series supports hot plug SATA drives, which is a typical requirement for Terminal Services/Citrix applications, Linux server, and Microsoft Windows Server environments.

Unlike other blade servers that only operate on 240v circuits, LaserBlades can be powered on 120v or 240v circuits, allowing network administrators to use whichever type is already installed.

All applications and environments benefit from CubixVision’s hardware management system, that permits network administrators to monitor and control their server assets using CubixVision.
