Designed for intensive graphics environments, Cubix LaserCube-Workstation uniquely solves the noise, heat, and hardware service problems typically found in graphics simulation workstations.

Until now, to deliver graphics-intensive output for simulation applications, the noisy, hot, unserviceable computers had to be near the operators' console.  That’s no longer true!

LaserCube-Workstation combines a 3D graphics engine with a powerful LaserBlade computing-engine separated by more than a hundred meters:
LaserCube-Workstation containing high-resolution PCIe graphics controller(s), USB 2.0 ports and audio are near the operator.  The only devices near the operators are the graphics engines and peripherals needed to display the simulation applications and data.
LaserBlade computers that are rack mounted far from the operators contain Intel® i7, Xeon or Core 2 Quad processors, hard drive(s), network connections and memory that run the simulation programs.  LaserBlades can be nested so that multiple blade rendering engines are dedicated to each operator. 
• Data is completely secure.  Hard drive storage in the LaserBlades reside in your locked data center.  No encryption needed.
• Video generated from the LaserCube can be cloned at the LaserBlade site and sent directly via DVI or VGA cables to Command Center video walls for real-time analysis and critique.

LaserCube-Workstation does not compress video data transmissions. Some vendors attempt to extend I/O remotely with proprietary “virtualization” software clients in an effort to overcome bandwidth limitations. This method compromises native PC compatibility, chokes video/audio streams, limits multi-headed display support and severely hurts video performance. Thin client is slow, especially with graphics.  LaserCube-Workstation is fast and it's a 100% hardware-based solution – just plug it in and it works!
