LaserCube-IP
Overview
LaserCube-IP is a high-performance computing solution using Teradici® PC-over-IP® technology, which enables remote user access to the full performance of a host computer system. LaserCube-IP features a host adapter that works in any computer with a free PCI Express 1x slot. When connected and configured with the host computer across the network, LaserCube-IP provides a superb remote operator experience. Cubix is also your partner with decades of experience placing remote access systems into secure environments with high-end graphical requirements.
A Solution for Demanding Operators in Secure Environments
The combination of LaserCube-IP and a host computer provides innovative technologies to overcome difficult challenges and it succeeds where other products only attempt to deliver your organization’s requirements:
• Centralize and access critical data and applications in a cool, secure room
• Enhance operators’ work environment and productivity
• Enable quick moves and changes as project teams get reassigned
• Retain the performance of a standards-based workstation
• Address the distance limitations of typical wired KVM solutions
• Cut costs using improved asset management
• Manage risk, increase collaboration, and enable security and privacy
• Locate data in the data center rather than at the operator’s desktop
• Provide flexible access to business-class applications
• Eliminate power, cooling, noise and clutter of computers at desktops
• Centralize management and service, which in turn, can reduce costs
• Provide operators with a resilient solution with reliability and availability
• Reduce data security exposure and potential loss of intellectual property
• Reduce office space requirements
• Reduce support and equipment maintenance costs and downtime

Features
Place the LaserCube-IP on an operator’s desktop, and you can connect it to a host computer via Ethernet. LaserCube-IP provides ports for keyboard, video, mouse (KVM) and other peripherals. It has no high-level operating system, disks or disk storage. About the size of a book, the LaserCube-IP is virtually silent with no moving parts and consumes only 25 Watts of power. All of these features provide a cooler, quieter and less cluttered workspace. LaserCube-IP provides the following features:
• Two DVI-I video ports for monitors
• USB ports for keyboard and mouse
• USB ports for standard Windows® device drivers
• High-definition analog audio, headphone and microphone ports
• Ethernet port for connection to a host computer
• Fiber port for connection to a host computer
LaserCube-IP and a host computer transfer graphics and USB data—compressed and encrypted to help provide security—between one another via an Ethernet network. Cubix recommends a corporate intranet rather than a public wide-area network (WAN) for performance reasons; however, LaserCube-IP works across WAN connections for typical user activities such as email and office applications.
